The History Of The Claddagh
The designs on our wedding rings are classic Celtic and early Irish patterns combined with the Claddagh motif. Claddagh rings were first worn as betrothal rings and wedding rings in the ancient fishing village of "The Claddagh" in Galway, Ireland. The first claddagh ring is said to have been made by Richard Joyce and he gave it to his sweetheart on his release from slavery in North Africa. |
